Banished from what they knewamidst the unknown.
This was now home to them,
the only home they would ever know.
And yet it felt warm...
they felt that they belonged.
Although they were but slaves.
But slaves they were for not long.
They were shown a way... they took up that path.
They followed it as they moved on.
